The Admirals Club at Charlotte Douglas International Airport near Gates C/D will be closing its doors for renovation. This will be going on for at least 6 months, according to American Airlines. Since that is the largest Admirals Club location at Charlotte, this will have a big impact on utilisation of the remaining club.
Our suggestion: If you have a Amex Platinum Card, you enjoy complimentary access to the Centurion Lounge above “The Plaza”. If you don’t have access to this, you might also look into other flight options that don’t include long layovers at Charlotte. We will keep you posted when the lounge will reopen its doors.
