American Airlines announced major expansion to Europe and Africa today, but this expansion happens mostly in Chicago, Dallas, and Philadelphia.
The new routes announced are
Philadelphia to Casablanca
Chicago to Krakow
Chicago to Budapest
Chicago to Prague
Dallas Ft Worth to Tel Aviv
Most noticeably are three things here; AA’s return to Tel Aviv, their very Short route to Casablanca, with Royal Air Maroc being a future alliance partner there. And lastly, the noticably absence of CLT for this expansion – showing once more how American tries to focus CLT to a domestic hub rather than a international powerhouse.
