Starting tonight, CLT Airport will shift to new elevated driveways and the old lanes will be permanently closed. These changes will be done in two steps:
First Step, the arrival level will shift to the outer lanes. Cars and commercial vehicles (hotel shuttles, parking shuttles, etc) will be using the same entrance lane. UBER will move to the departures level between Areas B-D.
Second Step on October 31st, the commercial vehicles and the passenger cars will use seperate entrance lanes.
This concludes a huge milestone for the Charlotte expansion and a 50 Million USD investment. The lane shift opens up the space required for the terminal / ticketing hall expansion.
